| Yes, it is clear that funding from government sources is not going to be enough to get our educational system up to speed. |

| The funding shortfall results in schools cutting both academic and extracurricular programs. That means many of the children will receive a diminished opportunity to obtain a well-rounded education. |
|
| The end result will directly affect both the economy and culture of our country and likely that of the entire world. We shall never have a chance at world peace until everyone is educated enough to read, write, speak, and understand the world in their own language. |

| The underlying goal is to begin a movement where each of us steps up to the plate and takes responsibility for our part in the overall school improvement effort. Until we form a united front, an altruistic school improvement effort will always be nothing more than a dream in our minds and hearts. |
